The Conversation

You're invited to join The Conversation
What? : The Conversation is a regular event discussing the questions
of life behind the issues of today. The aim is to expand our thinking
on topics that matter by including God and faith in the conversation.
It will help people of faith or no faith to explore the relevance of Christian
faith and ask any question they have.
How? : Each Conversation will engage with experts via filmed interviews
and panel discussion. There will also be an audience question time and
the option to continue the conversation the following week by joining
an 'Open to Question' discussion group. It will also be available as a
podcast.

Darwin: Science, Suffering and God, October 21 2009
2009 marked the anniversaries of Charles Darwin’s birth and publication of On the Origin of Species. To commemorate the occasion The Conversation explored an aspect of Darwin’s theory of Evolution by Natural Selection. In his book Darwin writes that Natural Selection is driven by the universal fight against death and suffering. The topic, therefore, focused on different philosophical approaches to nature and suffering.
