Whether you're familiar with church or just starting to explore Christian faith, you're always welcome on Sundays.

Saint James Church
Clerkenwell Close, London, EC1R 0EA.
– Refreshments available from 10:45am and after the service –

With full programme of activities

for children of all ages.

Children & Youth

Kids will leave the main service 10 minutes after the start and will come back into church just before the end of service. There is separate teaching and activity for children aged 3-11.

There is also a youth group at the church on Fridays, 5:30pm. For ages 11 to 15 to meet and study the word together.

There are pews reserved for families and a creche available for babies throughout the service. The creche room can be accessed from the far end of the main lobby or from the back of the church.

What should I expect?

The services on Sunday begin with a hymn or songs, opening prayers and an introduction to the theme of the day. Then children go downstairs for their activities and there is a Bible talk followed by an item such as an interview or question time enabling everyone to reflect and apply the theme to daily life.

The service ends with a hymn or songs when the children rejoin us and sometimes there is Holy Communion (once a month) or perhaps a Baptism. Our aim is to be a church where everyone feels at home and have space to think through how Christianity relates to issues of daily life. Do feel free to join in or simply listen if you’d prefer.
