Sundays @ 11am

Open House

Most
students choose to go to the 11am service which features in-depth Bible
teaching applied to daily life. After this we usually head out to lunch
together, or go for a student lunch at a local home. The first few
Sundays of term these lunches will place at the vicar's house, so it'll
be a good chance to ask him any questions you have about St James, as
well as get to know other students.

A
great place for international students and those who love finding out
about different cultures to have a fun and relaxed evening, meet new
people, and enjoy free food! Each evening will have a different
theme/focus e.g. Chocolate fondue, International food tasting, 'Round
the World' Quiz, Film or games nights, and there will also be lots of
time to chat to people and make new friends. The evening is open to
everyone, whatever your cultural or religious background, and we hope
you feel very welcome here! It takes place in a local home every
Thursday evening during term time, 7-9pm. Please contact Sarah at sarah@jc-church.org for more details.

Student life group |

Student
life groups are one of the best ways of getting involved at St James.
We meet on a Wednesday evening at 7pm in the Crypt for food followed by
a time of digging deeper into God's word and prayer, as we seek to
encourage and build each other up to better know and love God, and to
live for him in every area of our lives. There are also regular social
events (film nights, trips to places of interest in the area, student
lunches etc) which provide a good chance to get to know each other
better, and to which anyone is welcome to come. On some
Wednesdays we join the rest of the Church family in 'Powerpoint' prayer
and praise evenings, and The Conversation events, and there are often
iGod courses running parallel for those who are wanting to explore what
the Christian faith is about. | | |

To find out more, please contact Sarah Green, our student worker, on 07747 446 823 or sarah@jc-church.org.
Alternatively come along to the Sunday service or one of our other
events to see what it's like for yourself. We'd love to meet you so
please do stay for coffee afterwards and introduce yourself.
